Las Vegas Youth Volunteers

Las Vegas Youth Volunteers (LVYV) is a program for students ages 14 - 18 who are looking to get involved in their communities. Not only do members participate in regular volunteer activities, they also plan events, hold all leadership positions in the group, and practice service-learning. This allows them to gain and develop valuable skills outside of the school environment.

Youth have found that the service-learning method allows for an increase in self-confidence and civic responsibility, a broader awareness of community needs, improved academic achievement, a stronger sense of leadership, and active participation in service projects and learning.
