Volunteer Matching System

With underwriting by Nevada Power and technical development by the Points of Light Foundation/Volunteer Center National Network, the Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada maintains a web-based volunteer matching system offering the following:

For Volunteers

Volunteers log on and search for volunteer opportunities according to their interests.  Searches may be completed by issue area or by job responsibility.  If a prospective volunteer finds an opportunity of interest, signing up for it is just a click away.

For Organizations

Groups that seek volunteers register their own opportunities, and keep them updated.  They receive automatically generated emails from the volunteers who sign up at the site.

For the Community

The system will soon enable the us to develop statistics and reports that will reveal trends in the level of volunteer activity and where people most often volunteer.  It also helps the Volunteer Center provide more support for agencies in their volunteer recruitment.
