Corporate Volunteering

“You’ll find that employees walk a little better down the halls of your companies when you’ve encouraged them to help a neighbor in need. There’s nothing like giving a little bit of yourself to enrich your life. And when the person’s life is enriched, so is the company as a whole.”

-- Remarks by President George W. Bush during launch of Business Strengthening America, December 10, 2002

Companies today are moving beyond the norm of cash-only contributions to innovative solutions to engage their employees to give back and serve in the community. One vehicle providing companies a platform to invest in their communities beyond dollars and cents is operating a workplace volunteer program. The Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada sponsors a variety of resources and activities to promote and support volunteer programs by local corporations.

Southern Nevada Corporate Volunteer Council
